Bunyas to become a Brisbane corner shop
THE Bunyas will experience an influx in two-wheeled vehicles tomorrow as riders from across Queensland converge on a pop-up store in the mountains.
Swann Insurance has launched an “Inconvenience Store” on Bunya Ave in Dandabah Village, as part of its efforts to turn everyday errands into an adventure ride for motorcyclists across the country.
The Inconvenience Store will have 100 milk bottles, 100 chocolate bars and 60 rolls of toilet paper to give to riders who make the journey.
The Bunya Inconvenience Store is one of four opening across Australia.
Others can be found in Glenlyon (Vic), Berry (NSW) and Bourke (NSW), giving motorcyclists the opportunity to pull on the leathers.
Manager of direct distribution for Swann Insurance Rita Ibrahim said it was hoped people would make the three-hour ride from Brisbane to visit the store.
“We know how much our customers love to ride, but we also know that everyday life can get in the way of being able to hit the road,” Ms Ibrahim said.
“The launch of the Inconvenience Store is designed to make life’s more mundane activities, like picking up a litre of milk, the most exciting thing a rider does all week.
“Just make sure you leave a note explaining you might be longer than five minutes.”
