Grand Fi­nal week­end

WHETHER you watch sport re­li­giously or just con­sider your­self a ca­sual fan, this week­end’s NRL and AFL Grand Fi­nals have you cov­ered.

In the NRL, the North Queens­land Cow­boys will face mi­nor pre­miers Mel­bourne Storm in an in­trigu­ing match-up, with both sides hav­ing vastly dif­fer­ent fi­nals cam­paigns.

In the AFL, the Rich­mond Tigers play the Ade­laide Crows, with both clubs re­turn­ing to the grand fi­nal after lengthy pe­ri­ods of miss­ing out on the big dance.

For those ea­ger to em­brace fi­nals fever, you won’t be lack­ing places to watch as the pubs around town will be broad­cast­ing the games.

Li­ons Expo

THIS Satur­day from 1-2pm, lo­cals will have the op­por­tu­nity to head down to the Li­ons Club Expo, open to the pub­lic at Our Lady of the South­ern Cross Col­lege.

The expo is part of the 100 year In­ter­na­tional Li­ons Club Con­ven­tion, held in Dalby this week­end.

Get run­ning

DON’T for­get the weekly parkrun through the Myall Creek Park­lands, start­ing at 7am on Satur­day.

Reg­is­tra­tions must be made at www.parkrun.com. au/dalby and you must bring your bar­code to the run.

Movies

IF YOU want to avoid the heat this week­end, a movie at the Dalby Civic Theatre might be for you.

For the adults, IT will screen tonight and to­mor­row night at 7.15pm, as well as Sun­day at 5.15pm.

For the kids, The Emoji Movie will be show­ing to­day and to­mor­row (1pm and 5.15pm) and Sun­day (3.15pm).

WDOP Mar­kets

THE Western Downs Outreach Project’s monthly mar­kets are on this Sun­day, help­ing to fund the WDOP Dalby Soup Kitchen.

Held around the Dalby Rail­way Sta­tion, it’s a great morn­ing for the whole fam­ily. The mar­kets will go from 8am-1pm.
