Markets help raise awareness

Dalby Herald - - NEWS -

WAMINDA hosted their markets on Monday afternoon, with a wide variety of stalls set up for people to wander between.

The markets were designed to coincide with Disability Action Week and to create awareness in the community.

Waminda Services business manager Paige Cooper said there was plenty of activities to keep the whole family occupied.

“We had quite a few stalls, we had jewellery, soap, food and drink, the Mr Whippy van, the Donut Man, a postie party – which is like a fashion parade, face painting and a jumping castle,” Miss Cooper said.

Plenty of people from around town came to support the event and acknowledge the good work the local disability support organisation does.

“We were very happy with how it went, we raised good awareness for Disability Action Week,” Miss Cooper said.
