Chopper needed to save male passenger
A 21-YEAR-OLD male has been airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital after a serious motor vehicle accident west of Tara on Monday night.
The man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected from the car while travelling at 100 kilometres per hour on a gravel road.
The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight critical care doctor treated the patient at the scene for serious injuries, including a chest injury, contusions to his limbs and a suspected spinal injury.
The accident continues an incredibly busy year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions, performing a record 5342 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
