Accolades build up at Kerwee
Feedlot shines in Sydney
KERWEE Feedlot has come up trumps at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, with Stockyard Beef’s Stockyard Black Wagyu being named the champion grain-fed beef exhibit.
Stockyard’s winning exhibit was described by the judges as a standout, with well distributed marbling, nice eye-muscle size, great meat colour and exceptional tenderness.
This win caps a year of major awards for Stockyard after winning grand championship medals at the Brisbane and Melbourne Shows’ 2017 branded beef awards.
Stockyard Managing Director Lachie Hart said the awards were testament to the company’s long history of producing consistent, high-quality beef for Australian and international consumers.
“This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Kerwee Group, which Stockyard is a part of, and every day, we are looking at what we can do better, to produce even more exceptional beef. It’s a passion for the entire Stockyard family,” Mr Hart said.
“It is an absolute honour to be recognised with not just one, but now three major accolades this year. It confirms Stockyard’s place as Australia’s most awarded beef brand.
“As a small, family business, we couldn’t achieve what we do, without our wonderful team.
“These awards are a credit to everyone at Kerwee Feedlot and Stockyard and at every level of our supply chain, and we thank them for their hard work to consistently produce the highest quality beef.”
