THE annual Dalby showcase of some of the region’s best quilting begins its display today.

Situated at Anthony’s on Cunningham St, this year’s display of the Dalby Applique and Quilting Club has produced some of its best works.

The annual event has been running for nearly 30 years, coinciding with the history of the club.

Patron of the club, Lorna Laverty said the week long event will be raising money for a cause.

“We will be running two raffles over the event with some of the proceeds going to making products for premature babies at the Royal Brisbane Hospital,” she said.

“We make cushions, little quilts and bed covers for premature babies.”

The annual event has been popular since its inception.

This years event begins today at 9am and will run until 5pm.

The display will close next Friday, October 20.
