Thank you to Dalby

Dalby Herald - - NEWS -

I MUST thank all the little folk and their families for coming out to the LifeFlight Bear’s Picnic on September 16. I hope you enjoyed seeing the big Cubby House, and Chief Bear.

My thanks also go to everyone who assisted me on stalls, raffles, the Bear Hospital and others. Helen and Jim did a fantastic sausage sizzle, and Viv’s coffee was very welcome. Thank you, Owen, for your wonderful effort with the ice-cream van, and for your thoughtfulness in planning the day as well.

It was great to have Cr Kaye Maguire there to open the ‘Picnic’, and lend her support. Also thanks to Vicki James for coming from LifeFlight head office at the Gold Coast for the day.

The assistance of the Dalby Lions Club was very welcome, and it was a great opportunity to launch the lovely Cubby House made by Tom Schloss, decorated by the Lions Club, and donated to LifeFlight to raise much-needed funds for the ongoing work they do.

If anyone would like to purchase tickets in this Cubby House, contact a member of the Lions Club, or give me a call on

0428 635 554. Tickets are only $5 each and it will be drawn on 5th May 2018. Thank you, Tom, for such a wonderful thought in building the Cubby House for LifeFlight, and to the many Lions Clubs for selling the tickets. Thanks to the Dalby Herald also for your interest in the event, and for coming over on the day.
