We’re The Millers
hursday, nine/imparja, 8.30pm, M (2013)
It’s crass, contrived and more than a little bit crude, but if you’re looking for a lowbrow comedy with plenty of laughs, this is it. Jason Sudeikis plays David, a small-time drug dealer who winds up in debt to his supplier (Ed Helms) and is talked into transporting a shipment of marijuana from Mexico back to the US. Sudeikis ropes in his stripper neighbour (Jennifer Anniston), a wannabe customer (Will Poulter) and a streetwise een (Emma Roberts) to pose as sweet-as-pie family the Millers on an innocent road trip in a shiny RV to dodge the authorities.
