THE UPGRADED facility at the Dalby Showgrounds is officially unveiled to the public today.

The new Dalby Entertainment Centre at the Dalby Showgrounds will be opened at 10am, by Mayor Paul McVeigh.

Assistant Minister for Veterans Affairs and State Jennifer Howard, will be a special guest at the opening ceremony.

Mayor Paul McVeigh said the upgrade of the old Knowles Pavilion would benefit the broader community.

“I’m thrilled at how well the venue has come up.,” Cr McVeigh said.

“The Knowles Pavilion has a special place in the hearts of so many locals who have been to deb balls there or seen the arts and crafts displays for the annual show, it’s a part of our town.

“Now with the upgrade, which provided jobs to a number of local businesses, it’s a fantastic modern facility that can be used for so many different events by people and businesses from all over the Western Downs.”

The unveiling of the centre will begin at 10am, with patrons to enter via Nicholson St.
