Spring Soiree brings in the big guns for 2018

AF­TER the re­sound­ing suc­cess of last year’s in­au­gu­ral Spring Soiree, the com­mit­tee at Beck St Kin­der­garten has pre­pared an even bet­ter event for 2018.

“Last year was a re­ally great event for us and ticket sales are al­ready well up on what they were in 2017,” com­mit­tee mem­ber Su­san Sul­li­van said.

“It’s our ma­jor fundraiser and the money will be put to­wards some es­sen­tial main­te­nance on the Beck St build­ing, such as gut­ters and paint­ing.

“It’s a fun-filled day out in a re­laxed at­mos­phere.”

Mrs Sul­li­van said the com­mit­tee was also ec­static to have se­cured a well-known woman to tell her tale at the event.

“This year we have Deb Freck­ling­ton as our spe­cial guest speaker,” Mrs Sul­li­van said. “She has a re­ally in­ter­est­ing back story be­fore her rise in the LNP and will talk about what she has done in her life.

“We’ve also got lo­cal girl Jess Ber­wick pro­vid­ing the en­ter­tain­ment.”

The se­cond Spring Soiree is be­ing held on Sat­ur­day, Oc­to­ber 13 at the Dalby Rugby Union Club­house.

The event be­gins at noon and will run through un­til the af­ter­noon.

Cater­ing is be­ing pro­vided by Wat­tle­seed Kitchen.
