Melody of life runs deep in Myf

Mother of five always has her hands full

Dalby Herald - - LIFE | COMMUNITY -

Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Felicity Huffman, her representation of Lynette in Desperate Housewives channels so much of my own parenting and friendship traits, I think she’d capture my quirks perfectly!

What do you think the greatest invention has been?

Turning coffee beans into the lifesaving beverage it currently is.

Do you have any lucky items, objects or traditions?

My walk with God, He gives me strength for my life, and helps me to always look to the future with hope.

Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?

Dropping in on friends unannounced, just having the front door open and a revolving time of friends, fun and food.

What three things do you think of most each day?

My boys! Giving them each the individual time and love they need, and appreciating each of their very different personalities.

All my juggling jobs of work and volunteering. Keeping Dalby parkrun rolling along, my 25 piano and violin students, accompanying and performing gigs, plus volunteering with Eisteddfod, Arts Council and the Gallery. Enough to keep me busy!

Housework... but let’s not think about that now ....

What’s been the best decision you've made in your life so far?

My husband Chris, accepting his job as a teacher here in Dalby.

This town suits our family, and I have grown to love the area and the people.

If you could replace one body part with a super bionic replacement what body part and what features would the new bionic replacement have?

Very nerdy, but something inside my brain so that when I imagine a piece of music in my head it can transcribe it directly to a piece of paper – turn the thoughts into beautiful music!

What was your first car? (or what would you like it to be?)

I’m looking forward to upgrading our car to a proper seven seater. I’m liking the look of the new Kia, big without looking too much like a box!

What do you consider is the most important appliance in a house?

Two words. Coffee machine.

What historical period would you like to live in if you could go back in time?

Germany, in the early 1700s so that I could learn from and play beside my favourite composer of all time, Johann Sebastian Bach.

HAPPY COUPLE: Myf and Chris Schenk are both extremely passionate about music.
