Fuso Gee­long’s sales per­for­mance has been recog­nised with the Metropoli­tan Dealer of the Year, for the third con­sec­u­tive year

Fuso Truck and Bus has lauded its top deal­ers at the 2015 Dealer of the Year awards in Mel­bourne. The com­pany pre­sented the pres­ti­gious Metropoli­tan Dealer of the Year to Fuso Gee­long, which also took out the award in 2013 and 2014.

Fuso also pre­sented the sought-after Ru­ral Dealer of the Year to Mur­willum­bah Truck Cen­tre.

Fuso Truck and Bus di­rec­tor, Justin Whit­ford, praised the Fuso net­work at the awards pre­sen­ta­tion.

“In what has been an­other chal­leng­ing year for the re­tail truck mar­ket, our na­tional dealer net­work has con­tin­ued to push for sales growth across the coun­try,” he says.

“Ma­jor metropoli­tan deal­er­ships and ru­ral deal­er­ships have worked tire­lessly to en­sure the Fuso busi­ness is front of mind for both our ex­ist­ing and con­quest cus­tomers.”

Whit­ford pre­sented the Metropoli­tan Dealer of the Year award to Fuso Gee­long dealer prin­ci­pal, Richard Furnari.

“Fuso Gee­long is clearly driven by the chal­lenge of busi­ness achieve­ment through sales per­for­mance and they have been re­warded once again in 2015 with this pres­ti­gious hon­our,” Whit­ford says.

“This is a great re­sult re­alised through a huge amount of work.”

Whit­ford con­grat­u­lated Mur­willum­bah Truck Cen­tre dealer prin­ci­pal, Steve Bedser, and his team for win­ning the Ru­ral Dealer of the Year.

“Mur­willum­bah Truck Cen­tre is com­mit­ted to the suc­cess of the Fuso brand, with sig­nif­i­cant work un­der­taken lo­cally through net­work­ing, com­mu­nity and mar­ket­ing ac­ti­va­tions in ad­di­tion to a ded­i­ca­tion to front line sales,” he says. “Con­grat­u­la­tions on a fan­tas­tic year.” White­horse Truck and Bus was also an­nounced as the run­ner-up for the Metropoli­tan Dealer of the Year award, while Daim­ler Trucks Sun­shine Coast was the named as the run­ner-up for the Ru­ral Dealer of the Year award.

Whit­ford also pre­sented awards that recog­nised all ar­eas of a deal­er­ship are cru­cial to its suc­cess, from the show­room to the ser­vice bays.

Leon Benivento from Daim­ler Trucks Syd­ney was named Sales­per­son of the Year, while An­drew Stotz of Fuso Gee­long was named run­ner-up.

Bren­dan Young of Daim­ler Trucks Perth took out the award for Rookie of the Year, while Paige Chris­tiansen of Daim­ler Trucks Syd­ney was run­ner-up. The Parts Man­ager of the Year award was won by Brian Ritchie of The Truck Cen­tre while Terry Hask­ins of Daim­ler Trucks Syd­ney was run­ner-up. The Ser­vice Man­ager of the Year was Barn­aby Terry of CJD while Mark Gail of JT Fossey Tam­worth was run­ner-up.
