Fuso Geelong’s sales performance has been recognised with the Metropolitan Dealer of the Year, for the third consecutive year
Fuso Truck and Bus has lauded its top dealers at the 2015 Dealer of the Year awards in Melbourne. The company presented the prestigious Metropolitan Dealer of the Year to Fuso Geelong, which also took out the award in 2013 and 2014.
Fuso also presented the sought-after Rural Dealer of the Year to Murwillumbah Truck Centre.
Fuso Truck and Bus director, Justin Whitford, praised the Fuso network at the awards presentation.
“In what has been another challenging year for the retail truck market, our national dealer network has continued to push for sales growth across the country,” he says.
“Major metropolitan dealerships and rural dealerships have worked tirelessly to ensure the Fuso business is front of mind for both our existing and conquest customers.”
Whitford presented the Metropolitan Dealer of the Year award to Fuso Geelong dealer principal, Richard Furnari.
“Fuso Geelong is clearly driven by the challenge of business achievement through sales performance and they have been rewarded once again in 2015 with this prestigious honour,” Whitford says.
“This is a great result realised through a huge amount of work.”
Whitford congratulated Murwillumbah Truck Centre dealer principal, Steve Bedser, and his team for winning the Rural Dealer of the Year.
“Murwillumbah Truck Centre is committed to the success of the Fuso brand, with significant work undertaken locally through networking, community and marketing activations in addition to a dedication to front line sales,” he says. “Congratulations on a fantastic year.” Whitehorse Truck and Bus was also announced as the runner-up for the Metropolitan Dealer of the Year award, while Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast was the named as the runner-up for the Rural Dealer of the Year award.
Whitford also presented awards that recognised all areas of a dealership are crucial to its success, from the showroom to the service bays.
Leon Benivento from Daimler Trucks Sydney was named Salesperson of the Year, while Andrew Stotz of Fuso Geelong was named runner-up.
Brendan Young of Daimler Trucks Perth took out the award for Rookie of the Year, while Paige Christiansen of Daimler Trucks Sydney was runner-up. The Parts Manager of the Year award was won by Brian Ritchie of The Truck Centre while Terry Haskins of Daimler Trucks Sydney was runner-up. The Service Manager of the Year was Barnaby Terry of CJD while Mark Gail of JT Fossey Tamworth was runner-up.
