Green’s Trucking had a rare Diamond REO C11469A on display of Dubbo, with owner Brian Green explaining that it was one of only six of that particular model which H.W. Crouch imported into Australia.

Green’s, based in Bourke, started out in 1915 and in its heyday operated five Kenworths, a Diamond REO, a White cab-over and two 7-Series Dodge trucks. The Diamond REO came with a 335 Cummins, 4x4 gearboxes and did 4.7 million km before retirement.

“She is a beautiful old truck,” Brian smiles.

“We bought it on the 6th of August 1971 and it was a great truck,” Brian says.

“The Cummins has been rebuilt three times and the gearbox replaced with a 13-speed Roadranger.”

Brian explains that he did the majority of the restoration work on the REO over 11 months.
