Over the last three years, I’ve been cut­ting out my favourite recipes from

de­li­cious. and stick­ing them into a leather-bound book. I now go through the recipes every Sun­day with my three-year-old daugh­ter and we pick one to make for lunch or din­ner. She does get a bit dis­tracted (and eats most of the in­gre­di­ents), but last Sun­day we made the Granny Smith and cin­na­mon crum­ble (Wicked, July 17, p 121). It says ‘serves 6’, but our lit­tle fam­ily of three pol­ished it off. Your mag­a­zine is the high­light of my month be­cause I know all the lit­tle mo­ments of joy that it will bring. Mike Sy­mons
