This sea­son, owner Richard Haigh is adding a glasshouse cafe to his tran­quil court­yard. Haigh en­gaged de­li­cious. style ed­i­tor Kirsten Jenk­ins to bring the ven­ture to life, and Jenk­ins has re­sponded with a menu of ex­quis­ite tartines with savoury top­pings, del­i­cate sal­ads, deca­dent pas­tries and bread from Or­ganic Bread Bar. On week­ends there will be a mar­ket with cut flow­ers. In a twist, ev­ery­thing you see and touch – from the florid vin­tage plates to the pot­ted citrus trees – is for sale. Now you can have your cake and keep the dish, too.
