Mason makes no.6 for couple

Cathy Murphy and Jonas Elphick have welcomed baby number six to the family.

Mason Parker Elphick arrived early at Goulburn Valley Health in Shepparton on June 15 weighing 3115g (6lb 13oz). Mason is a brother for Kyle (14), Kayla (13), Brodie (10), Sienna (7) and Logan (5), and mum Cathy said they all love their baby brother.

‘‘They are just stoked with him,’’ she said.

‘‘They even fight over him just to get a cuddle.’’

Six might seem like a lot to the average family, but Cathy said it’s easy with all her helpers.

‘‘The kids love to help out with Mason, my eldest Kyle has already taken him under his wing,’’ she said.

Although this will be the last baby for Cathy and Jonas, they said they would have more if they could.

Mason is a grandson for Edna and Ray Murphy of Finley and Margaret and John (dec) Elphick of Queensland.
