Silver end to BIG4’s awards dominance

-

BIG4 Deniliquin Holiday Park claimed silver in the Caravan and Holiday Parks category at the Regional Tourism Awards in Moama on Saturday.

The medal success has added to its ‘gold’ at the 2015 Australian Tourism Awards for Top Tourist and Caravan Park, plus four state gold awards, and a silver (2012) and bronze (2014) at national level.

BIG4 Deniliquin owners Frank and Lynda White said they were again humbled by the ongoing recognition for their holiday park.

‘‘I think we continue to have success at the awards because our team always goes above and beyond, and our customer service is top priority,’’ Mr White said.

‘‘We are committed to making sure guests have a fantastic experience. We keep our facilities current and in good condition and keep the park as immaculate as possible.’’

Mr White said while they have enjoyed considerable success with the Tourism Awards, he expects this will be the last time they enter for the foreseeable future.

‘‘It’s a very lengthy application process that takes around 100 hours to prepare, so I think it’s time to give the awards a rest for a while.

‘‘We’ve been entering for the last eight years and we are really happy with our success.

‘‘We will see out the state and national awards for this year, because they are a great reminder of what improvements can be made and what we are doing well,’’ he said.

Saturday’s silver medal was the first time the park has missed gold when it has entered the regional competition.
