Grandparent of the Year
Nominations for the 2016 Local NSW Grandparent of the Year Awards are now open.
Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli said the awards celebrate the role grandparents and older people play in the community.
He said they are an opportunity for younger generations to recognise the many ways that grandparents and older people enrich our lives and communities.
“Grandparents and older people do so much to make our community a better place to live and work,” Mr Piccoli said.
“If you know a grandparent or older person who is making a difference in the community, then nominate them.”
Nominations are open until Friday, October 7, 2016. Local nominations will then be submitted for consideration as finalists in the NSW Grandparent of the Year Awards to be held on October 30 in Sydney.
Nomination forms can be obtained by contacting the Murray electorate office in Deniliquin on (03) 5881 7034.
