International visitor charged
An international visitor to the region has been charged with alleged drink driving.
Deniliquin Police said they stopped a car being driven in Harfleur St, Deniliquin about 7.40pm on Christmas Eve for a random breath test.
The 28 year-old male driver, who produced an international driver’s licence, reportedly returned a positive reading.
He was taken to Deniliquin Police Station, where a blood alcohol reading of 0.100 was recorded.
He was charged with mid range prescribed content of alcohol and suspended from driving in New South Wales, pending a court appearance.
