Fi­nal War­brec­can shoot

The De­niliquin Field and Game Shoot­ing Club will be hold­ing its last shoot ever at the War­brec­can Shoot­ing Range on Wakool Rd to­mor­row.

The day will con­sist of 100 Tar­gets Graded Off The Gun and will start at 9am.

Last year the club at­tracted 187 shoot­ers to De­niliquin from all over Vic­to­ria and New South Wales.

Field and Game are hop­ing to in­crease this num­ber of shoot­ers to at­tend its fi­nal event at the range.

The shoot has been heav­ily pro­moted by Field and Game Aus­tralia and sev­eral of their com­mit­tee will be in at­ten­dance in­clud­ing their mag­a­zine’s ed­i­tor to do a story in their Fe­bru­ary mag­a­zine on the his­tory of the De­niliquin club.

If there are any old mem­bers out there with some old pho­tos or sto­ries they are asked to please bring them to­mor­row.

There will be food and drinks avail­able on the day.

Spon­sors for this shoot are GB Cor­sivia and Lloyd’s Self Stor­age and raf­fle prizes have been do­nated by De­niliquin Auto Elec­tri­cal and Parts Cen­tral.

Echuca broth­ers Ricky and Mick Keirl were the win­ners at De­niliquin Field & Game’s monthly shoot on Satur­day.

The Keirls shot a score of 138 in the 150 tar­get two per­son hand­i­cap team event to fin­ish four shots clear of run­ners-up Chris Charleson and Ryan Ar­chard on 134.

It was Gaye and Kacey Shale who fin­ished third on 133 with plenty of oth­ers win­ning Christ­mas hams.
