Final Warbreccan shoot
The Deniliquin Field and Game Shooting Club will be holding its last shoot ever at the Warbreccan Shooting Range on Wakool Rd tomorrow.
The day will consist of 100 Targets Graded Off The Gun and will start at 9am.
Last year the club attracted 187 shooters to Deniliquin from all over Victoria and New South Wales.
Field and Game are hoping to increase this number of shooters to attend its final event at the range.
The shoot has been heavily promoted by Field and Game Australia and several of their committee will be in attendance including their magazine’s editor to do a story in their February magazine on the history of the Deniliquin club.
If there are any old members out there with some old photos or stories they are asked to please bring them tomorrow.
There will be food and drinks available on the day.
Sponsors for this shoot are GB Corsivia and Lloyd’s Self Storage and raffle prizes have been donated by Deniliquin Auto Electrical and Parts Central.
Echuca brothers Ricky and Mick Keirl were the winners at Deniliquin Field & Game’s monthly shoot on Saturday.
The Keirls shot a score of 138 in the 150 target two person handicap team event to finish four shots clear of runners-up Chris Charleson and Ryan Archard on 134.
It was Gaye and Kacey Shale who finished third on 133 with plenty of others winning Christmas hams.
