A day on the greens for the volunteers
What better way to thank the volunteers who help at the Deniliquin Golf Club than with a special round of golf?
The event was held at the golf course on Sunday, coinciding with the monthly 12-hole competition.
It was followed by a delicious barbecue lunch cooked by long-time club handicapper Geoff Seely and club manager Norm Purtill.
Fifty volunteers and other supporters had their clubs out on the day, with another 10 joining them for the meal.
Mr Purtill said they aim to hold a special event to thank their volunteers every six months.
