In­tereach to host NDIS info ses­sion

The Na­tional Dis­abil­ity In­surance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of pro­vid­ing sup­port for peo­ple with dis­abil­ity, their fam­i­lies and car­ers in Aus­tralia.

The NDIS will part­ner with ex­pe­ri­enced and qual­i­fied or­gan­i­sa­tions who have a strong lo­cal knowl­edge and an un­der­stand­ing of what peo­ple with dis­abil­ity or de­vel­op­men­tal de­lay across our coun­try need.

In the De­niliquin district, In­tereach has been en­gaged by So­cial Fu­tures as the Lo­cal Area Co­or­di­na­tion part­ner through­out the Mur­rumbidgee and Far West NSW area.

To en­sure you get the most ac­cu­rate in­for­ma­tion about the NDIS, In­tereach is hold­ing a free NDIS in­for­ma­tion ses­sion in De­niliquin this Fri­day.

It will will be held at the In­tereach De­niliquin Neigh­bour­hood Cen­tre in Trick­ett St, De­niliquin on from 11am to 12.30pm.

The in­for­ma­tion ses­sion is de­signed to of­fer peo­ple gen­eral in­for­ma­tion about the NDIS, and will cover top­ics such as:

What is the NDIS and how does it work?

Who is el­i­gi­ble and when can the scheme be ac­cessed?

What kind of sup­port can be ac­cessed through the NDIS?

Where can I get more in­for­ma­tion? A light lunch will be pro­vided and trans­port can be ar­ranged for those who re­quire as­sis­tance to at­tend.
