Big thank you to local Daffodil Day supporters

Deniliquin Pastoral Times - - OUT & ABOUT -

Sir, On behalf of the Council Council of NSW I would like to personally thank the members of our community who purchased daffodils and merchandise on Daffodil Day 2017.

The total sum raised was $12,010.65 and these funds will go into helping support people with cancer together with the all important research which is vital in finding a cure for cancer.

To Denise Phillips and her friends at My Shop who sold merchandise, daffodils and morning teas and raised $2021.10 — a wonderful team effort.

To IGA owners and staff — many thanks for your support.

Thanks to Wendy Crossley, Geoff Riley and the ladies who sat with the raffle at the supermarket and raised $2787.60, and to all who purchased tickets.

The winner of the raffle was Gavin Chick, who received a $200 fuel voucher donated by Purtills.

Second prize was a sleeping bag donated by Deniliquin Home and Leisure and was won by Craig McDonald, and third prize was a hair voucher donated by Nicki at Home with Robyn Chatterway the winner.

To Leanne Varty and the Girl Guides, many thanks for your contribution in selling merchandise prior to Daffodil Day.

To my helpers and raffle ticket sellers in the kiosk together with anyone else who helped in some way, it was very much appreciated.

To the Pastoral Times, once again many thanks for your media coverage, photos and support for this worthy cause.
