One of Central IGA Deniliquin’s greatest attributes is that it’s owned and run by local people.

Co-owners Rob Hallum and Corina and Glenn Beames have spent the majority of their lives living in Deniliquin.

With the profits from the business staying local, this ensures they are able to give back to the community that supports them.

Mr Hallum said IGA’s support of the community wouldn’t be possible if the business wasn’t owned locally.

‘‘I personally have only ever worked for local businesses in town,’’ he said.

‘‘I know that without the support of fellow locals, we wouldn’t have been open for the past 21 years.

‘‘That’s why we enjoy putting money back into the town as a way to say thank you for our support.

‘‘As an independently owned business we have more freedom with our decisions to support the local community.’’
