Car Club:

Deni Sporting Car Club held round 11 of its Autocourse Series and a ‘Come and Try Day’ on Saturday.

Thirteen contestants competed in sunny then light showery weather.

The times reflected where drivers ran in between the light showers, and also highlighted the very fast times that can be achieved if you happen to be on the racetrack within a 10 to 15 minute window after a light shower of rain.

Along with three other junior drivers, newcomer Alister Butcher ran well on his first run on the one-mile track. Results: Class J - Rushton Milward; Class A - Neil Morrison; Class B - John Londrigan; Class E - Tony Fox.

The next round continues at the DSCC track on Sunday, November 19.
