Hannah named school Dux, pre­sen­ta­tion to for­mer prin­ci­pal

Hannah Dun­more was named Dux of De­niliquin North Pri­mary School at its pre­sen­ta­tion day on De­cem­ber 6.

Held at the De­niliquin RSL Club, spe­cial awards were also given to some the school’s best thinkers and sport­ing achievers.

Three groups of re­cip­i­ents re­ceived the P&C Hall of Fame Award for 2017.

It in­cluded the Sci­ence Tech­nol­ogy Tour­na­ment of the Minds team, the de­bat­ing team and all the school’s ath­letes who rep­re­sented the school ay Rive­rina and state ath­let­ics com­pe­ti­tions.

The awards cer­e­mony also in­cluded a spe­cial pre­sen­ta­tion for for­mer prin­ci­pal Chris Ho­gan, who re­tired from teach­ing ear­lier this year.

Mr Ho­gan was recog­nised for his con­tri­bu­tions to pub­lic ed­u­ca­tion with a cer­tifi­cate of achieve­ment, which was pre­sented by long-time col­league and retiring De­niliquin South School prin­ci­pal Greg Danck­ert.

Math­e­mat­ics Achieve­ment Award - An­gus Knox. Stu­dent Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Award - Tom Charl­ton. In­dige­nous En­cour­age­ment Award - Shyanne Smith. Best Ef­fort in Se­nior Pri­mary - Harry Dud­ley. Dili­gence in All Ar­eas - Olivia Manzin. Sci­ence and Tech­nol­ogy Award - Dean Mac­don­ald.
