Fuse box fire

A fire was luckily contained to a fuse box which ignited at a Deniliquin home on Tuesday night.

NSW Fire & Rescue was called to the Napier St home about 9.05pm to find the external fuse box alight.

Deputy Captain Les Booth said despite having the potential to be devastating, the blaze caused only minor damage. He said assisting the brigade on the night were the Deniliquin NSW Rural Fire Service, a private electrical contractor and Essential Energy.
