Carpet bowls:

Jenny Tonta was elected as the Deniliquin RSL Indoor Bias Bowls Association president at the club’s annual general meeting earlier this month.

Tonta, who had previously served as president from 2015-16, takes over the role from Peter Amor.

The rest of the committee comprises of the following: Vice president - June Campbell, secretary - Carol Arthur, treasurer - Joanne King.

The association would like to thank the retiring committee for their dedication in 2017.

Those wanting to try carpet bowls can join the club at the Deniliquin RSL this Sunday.

Play will start at 2pm with a small cost of $2 to play.

The association’s winter competition will start on Wednesday, May 2.
