Melbourne motorbike found in Deni
A motorcycle stolen in Port Melbourne in April this year has been found in Deniliquin.
Police were called after a silver motorbike was noticed parked behind bushes on the Cobb Hwy near Deniliquin Airport over a number of days.
The Triumph motorcycle was originally stolen on April 27.
When police went to recover the motorcycle on Monday evening, they discovered the number plates had been removed.
Police have seized a quantity of drugs and an ‘ice pipe’ from a west Deniliquin home.
Police were called to the home relating to a different matter about 10pm Wednesday.
Seizes from the home were varying quantities of the drug ice and the drug MDMA.
Police inquiries are continuing.
Car theft warning
Police are reminding people to ensure their cars are locked and valuables are secured.
It comes after reports of a woman peering inside car windows in the Napier St, George St and Whitelock St areas on Monday afternoon.
A 22 year-old Deniliquin man has been arrested and charged with alleged possession of utensils used in administering illicit drugs.
Police said a ‘ bong’, cone piece and a mulling bowl were found inside a car being driven by a Deniliquin man in Hardinge St, Deniliquin about 12.20am Tuesday.
Police said the car was initially stopped for a random roadside breath test, which they say was negative.
The man’s Victorian licence promoted checks, which police say flagged information relating to drugs.
