Two peo­ple, pos­si­bly aged be­tween 15 and 17, were seen in­side the science block at the De­niliquin High School about 2.18am on Satur­day.

Po­lice said an alarm at the school sounded, and se­cu­rity ar­rived to find two peo­ple in the build­ing.

The se­cu­rity guard told po­lice both ap­peared to be teenagers. One is re­ported to have been wear­ing a blue hoodie, black hat, black shorts and was of slen­der build. The other was re­ported to have been wear­ing a white shirt and black shorts.

Po­lice said both fled af­ter see­ing the se­cu­rity guard, out a win­dow fac­ing the se­nior quad at the Henry St end of the school.

On in­spec­tion, po­lice be­lieve they may have en­tered a win­dow on the other side of the build­ing.

AVO breach

A 27 year-old De­niliquin man has been charged with breach­ing an ap­pre­hended vi­o­lence or­der af­ter re­port­edly leav­ing a num­ber of of­fen­sive mes­sages for his mother on Sun­day af­ter­noon.

Po­lice said the AVO, is­sued in May, was also breached when the man at­tended his mother’s Deni home on Sun­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said the man was ar­rested near Hardinge St, De­niliquin about 3.50pm on Sun­day.
