Studio lights versus flash

Digital Camera World - - SHOOTOUT -

It can be challenging to achieve a balanced exposure in bright sunshine using a hotshoe flashgun: typically it won’t have enough power – especially when its output is reduced by a modifier such as a softbox.

A studio light has more power to work with: the Phottix Indra500 TTL units that we were working with during this Shootout are both battery-powered and triggered wirelessly, making them portable and easy to work with.
