How good is Fujifilm’s GFX 50S medium-format camera for shooting scenics? Two London Camera Exchange customers find out…
Field-tested On paper, the GFX 50S is the perfect
choice for landscape photographers. It offers a 51.4MP, 43.8 x 32.9mm CMOS sensor, a weather-resistant design and a light weight – at 740g body-only, it’s lighter than a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. This is a mirrorless camera that should be just as at home shooting in the great outdoors as it is in the studio. To find out if that’s the case, we spent a day in the Brecon Beacons National Park with two customers from London Camera Exchange’s Strand branch. In addition to the GFX 50S, each photographer was given a Fujinon GF 23mm f/4 R LM WR wide-angle lens and a GF 32-64mm f/4 LM WR zoom. Standard NDs and ND grads came courtesy of LEE Filters.
