Lighting tips

Digital Camera World - - COVER STORY -

Shooting into the sun produces more dramatic lighting than when the sun is behind you. Shoot while the sun is just breaking through the clouds to reduce contrast and produce light rays. Early or late in the day, try to compose your shot with the sun low and to one side of the landscape. This will create dramatic side-lighting on the landscape, adding texture and contrast.
