Olloclip is a big name in iPhone lenses, and it’s easy to see why. The pair of lenses in this kit are similar to most of Bitplay’s standard lenses, but quality is significantly better. The included circular fisheye lens gives a comparable field of view to the Bitplay alternative, with far less fringing.
The lens can also be separated, with the base becoming a 15x macro lens. Magnification is similar to Bitplay’s 5x macro optic, but Olloclip’s close-up images are sharper across more of the frame. Switch to the super-wide optic and you get a 120+ degree field of view and decent corner-to-corner sharpness, albeit with barrel distortion.
The lenses attach neatly to Olloclip’s simple Connect lens system. This compact clip slips easily over the top of an iPhone 7 or 8 (including Plus versions) and enables the lenses to work with both the front and rear-facing cameras.
