Pawel Zygmunt shows how to combine travel, adventure and nature to create stunning scenes

-

Overwhelmed by the beauty of Ireland, I started my landscape photography journey around five years ago. I thought

I would start bringing a camera with me to capture the most memorable scenes. Since then I travelled to the furthest corners of this magnificent country.

Ireland has everything you could possibly want in landscape photography: amazing mountains, thousands of lakes, and rugged shorelines with massive cliffs, sea stacks and caves. Some of these spots are just on the doorstep; others require tough hikes to the middle of nowhere. Some of these places are well-known; others are still mysterious and intriguing. What else would you need?

When I am getting bored with local scenery, I travel to my two other favourite locations: Scotland and the Faroe Islands. I try to have a camera with me all the time, including summer holidays. For passionate photographers, there is no such a thing as a holiday: we never stop searching for beautiful spots to shoot. www.breakinglightpictures.com

When I arrived it was overcast but luckily it started clearing and the sun popped up. Once you get here, compositions are limitless, so you have plenty of space to play with.”
