In bed with Joshua and AJ

DNA Magazine - - PHOTOGRAPHY -

When the In Bed project for DNA was first proposed, Joee knew he wanted Joshua Trusty to be part of it.

“Joshua is the whole package,” says Joee. “Great face, amazing body, talented model, and a charming personality. Everything shines through when he’s in front of the camera.”

Joshua, knowing how close he and the other model were going to get in this shoot, and that being naked in front of a camera can make you vulnerable, talked his friend AJ Boardraye into joining him.

“I wanted to do it with someone I trusted, not a stranger. It was important we had existing chemistry because, I figured, that would be the difference between the photographs being read as porn rather than art.”

AJ also enjoys being in front of the camera and releasing his alter ego which, he says, allows him to be sexy, creative and carefree.

“Joee allowed AJ and me to just vibe and move freely and fluidly, which created mood and chemistry,” says Joshua. “The entire shoot seemed organic, which was refreshing.”

“I wanted to capture two naked man together but not in a gay pornographic way,” says Joee. “Even though they are not lovers, I knew Joshua and AJ would have chemistry because of their friendship. As soon as we started shooting their connection sparked and I could not stop photographing. I took over 500 images.

The resulting series of images of Joshua and AJ are among those Joee Vee is most proud of.
