For the last decade, the best Madonna music releases have been her concert DVD/ CD contraptions. Perhaps because she’s been so desperate to be perceived as hip on her last three studio albums that all the joy got sucked out of them. Finally, getting a release, some two years after the tour began, is her Rebel Heart package. The good news – the show is dazzling to watch. The bad news – there’s too many clunky Rebel Heart tunes. Filmed in Sydney during the final concerts there’s a 22-track CD with the DVD, plus the bonus Tears Of A Clown “music/storytelling show” Mads unveiled in Melbourne only. In lieu of another great album, here’s another great live DVD/CD instead.
