SERVE THIS WHEN EV­ERY­ONE AR­RIVES – YOU’LL WANT SOME­THING SAVOURY TO SNACK ON STRAIGHT AWAY. SERVES 6, TAKES 10 MIN­UTES

YOU’LL NEED • 2 av­o­ca­dos • 1 tomato, finely chopped • ½ red onion, finely chopped • ½ lemon • Salt and pep­per, to taste • Corn chips TO MAKE 1. Mash the av­o­ca­dos with a potato masher or the back of a fork un­til they’re mushy but still a bit chunky. 2. Add the tomato and red onion. 3. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and mix well. 4. Add a touch of salt and pep­per. 5. Serve with a big bowl of corn chips.
