Takeuchi has launched the very compact TL6R track loader
Takeuchi’s new TL6R compact track loader is here, with the company expecting it to be popular with owners of the popular TL120 and TL220 models.
One of the standout features of the new TL6R is its size – the loader is small enough for easy truck or trailer loading for road transport to and from job sites.
The TL6R’s low-profile cabin sits at a height of 1975mm, which is low enough to allow the loader to be driven through the door openings in most residential carports and garages.
Takeuchi says this feature is great when a landscaper or plumbing contractor needs access to the back yard of an existing structure where materials need to be hauled from a street kerb.
Under the bonnet is a Tier 4 Final 48kW engine which is able to maintain maximum power thanks to the loader’s active power control, which results in optimal performance in all ground conditions and attachments.
Takeuchi engineers have fitted the TL6R with a redesigned hydraulic pilot control system that gives the machine’s operator a comfortable, positive feel for a precise operation.
Takeuchi says the TL6R can comfortably handle an 835kg operating load thanks to the loader’s power plant. The loader also features a large 5.7-inch LCD dash panel screen and a built-in reversing camera.
Sharing a new undercarriage design with other recent-model Takeuchi track loaders, the triple flange track rollers used in the TL6R have been redesigned to minimise the de-tracking risk for those times when an operator may forget to make wider turns, traverses slopes sideways or encounters other conditions that may cause this costly and time-consuming track issue.
“Illumination has been enhanced with large LED work lights that improve the level of low-light visibility, while reducing power consumption,” Takeuchi says.
