McCloskey Washing Systems intros SandStorm and AggStorm units
McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS) has showcased its new washing and classifying equipment in the UK.
MWS is the washing and clarifying equipment division of McCloskey International, whose products are sold in Australia through east coast and PNG distributor Mobile Screening and Crushing (MSC) Group.
MWS hosted a working demonstration of new products including the SandStorm 516 (pictured) and AggStorm 80 and 150 washer units, which were tandem-processing quarry scalpings.
The SandStorm 516 modular wash plant can produce grades of sand in the 0-2 and 0-5mm range while simultaneously producing 40mm-plus rinsed stone.
The sand plant also has the capability to blend all or some of the fine sand into the course sand to maximise the required grading.
The AggStorm 80 and 150 range takes it a step further with rinsing, screening, scrubbing and sand washing capabilities all in a single transportable chassis. Primarily designed for processing construction and demolition waste, the AggStorm range can produce up to three grades (10mm, 20mm and 40mm) aggregate.
The AggStorm washers are designed to operate as standalone units or in tandem with the SandStorm washer range.
The two units at the MWS event were working together to produce three aggregates and two sand products from source material with high clay content.
“The team at MWS invest a significant amount of time on product development and have teamed up with key suppliers to bring new technologies to the washing industry,” Max Innovate managing director Fintan McKeever says.
