CABARET troupe Sugar Blue Burlesque will celebrate a decade of decadence on Saturday, August 5, with a 10-year anniversary show at Metro City Concert Club.

Hosted by Magnus Danger Magnus, the event will feature more than 30 performers and a 10-piece jazz band the Perth Cabaret Collective.

It is a long way from where the troupe started when there was no Perth burlesque scene and it had only three members – A’dora Derriere, Miss Bonnie Fox and Scarlet O’Harlot. Now there are sell-out burlesque classes, international touring, successful Fringe World Festival seasons and appearances at Artrage.

“I’m so proud of what Sugar Blue Burlesque has achieved over the last 10 years,” director Melanie Piantoni said said.

“From here, the sky is the limit.”

Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm and tickets at www.megatix.com.au/events/decade-decadence.

Some of the Sugar Blue Burlesque troupe have a ball.
