BAYSWATER resident Zamia Pedro, who was cleared of melanoma after 12 weeks of a new treatment, felt “overwhelmed” with the Bayswater community’s support for her fight against cancer.

The Bayswater Bowling and Recreation Club will host a quiz night for Ms Pedro next month, where the community will help fundraise to help her pay her medical bill of more than $100,000.

Celebrity chef Peter Manifis heads the event, which will also feature prizes including cooking classes with Mondo’s tickets, WA Symphony Orchestra (WASO) performances and wine.

Ms Pedro’s friends have also started a GoFundMe page which has raised about $38,950.

Ms Pedro was diagnosed with Stage 3 melanoma in November 2016.

The quiz night will be held at the Bayswater Bowling and Recreation Club on October 7 at 6pm.

Tickets are available at www.eventbrite.-com.au/e/quiznight-fundraiser-tickets36466955646.
