Natives grow in appeal

CITY of Bayswater aborist Mark Short says the City’s 1000th street tree represents the growing push for WA native plants from residents in the community.

Mr Short helped to plant a WA peppermint tree in Morley on September 13, which marked the end of the City’s winter street verge planting program.

Mr Short said the tree was a hearty type of tree, which established well and did not require much water.
