A DINNER so secret guests won’t find out where it is until the day is just one of the hallmark events that form part of this year’s Entwined in the Valley program.
The inaugural Swan Valley Secret Supper is set to serve up an evening of enchantment and the rustic essence of the Swan Valley in an exquisite location.
Featuring guest performers, an exclusive and intimate dining space and live artwork, guests will be asked to pick up their own picnic basket and spend an idyllic day foraging for their choice of banquet fare around the Swan Valley.
Winemaker and ambassador for this year’s program James Talijancich said he was looking forward to the food and wine weekend, with the event the perfect platform for winemakers and creators to come together and share their stories of the past, present and future.
“These events are crucial to our success and for the public to experience first-hand what we do best,” he said.
Talijancich, who joined the family’s winemaking business in 1977 as a third generation winemaker,
has learnt the ins and outs of the winemaking process.
Talijancich Wines is famous for its classic fortified wines and focuses on making wines from locally-sourced fruit.
“We are spoilt here, knowing we can produce great table wines and fortifieds from one region,” he said.
Talijancich will be joined by chef Michael Hartnell, artist Jude Taylor and grape grower and producer Marlene Katich as festival ambassadors of the weekend of food, wine, music, comedy and art.
The Swan Valley Secret Supper is one of more than 60 individual events that will be held throughout the Swan Valley.
