London-based singersongwriter Obaro Ejimiwe adopted his Ghostpoet moniker for 2010 debut EP The Sound Of Strangers. His wordplay and late-night melodies earned a Mercury Prize nomination in 2011, for Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam. Some Say I So I Say Light followed in 2013. Ejimiwe is set to release a third studio LP in 2015, Shedding Skin, which finds him stripping his sound back to organic instrumentation and drawing from what he’s seen and heard to inspire more enlightening verse.
