Kon­ami may have yanked Hideo Ko­jima’s name from the Me­talGearSolidV:ThePhan­tomPain box art like a jilted lover cut­ting their ex’s head out of pho­to­graphs, but the real ques­tion is what the cre­ative split means for what is now defini­tively Ko­jima’s fi­nal Me­talGear game. Will he tie up all the loose ends in a fit­ting send-off? Or drop the mic and leave Kon­ami hold­ing a lemon? In the mean­time, Kon­ami cer­tainly seems to be pre­par­ing for life with­out one of its big­gest cash cows by milk­ing this en­try hard, with spe­cial edi­tions of the game packed to burst­ing with DLC weapons, gear, skins and even the dreaded XP booster.
