One area in which Sony is inar­guably ahead of its ri­vals is hard­ware de­sign. Mor­pheus was al­ready a good-look­ing de­vice on its de­but, but the lat­est model is even more stylish – at least within the nar­row pa­ram­e­ters al­lowed by strap­ping a block of plas­tic and cir­cuitry to your face. More im­por­tantly, it is also the most com­fort­able of the three ma­jor head­sets, the com­bi­na­tion of the hard­ware’s con­toured de­sign and an eas­ily ad­justable strap ad­dress­ing the frontheavy sen­sa­tion usu­ally as­so­ci­ated with VR hard­ware. Mor­pheus is also the only cur­rent de­vice to prop­erly take into ac­count play­ers who wear glasses, a but­ton mounted un­der the dis­play hous­ing al­low­ing for a sur­pris­ingly ac­com­mo­dat­ing ad­just­ment of the whole unit.
