When Bob Kane picked up his pen­cil early in 1939 and be­gan to sketch out an idea for a new hero, his con­cern was keep­ing the higher-ups happy; DC Comics had grown fat on Su­per­man’s suc­cess and was hun­gry for more. While Clark Kent’s and Bruce Wayne’s al­ter egos have jos­tled for supremacy on printed page and cin­ema screen since, it is Bat­man who has proven the bet­ter fit for videogames, and it all stems from Kane’s orig­i­nal de­sign.
