Mis­sion lev­els are sub­ject to a too-short day/night cy­cle, which con­tin­u­ally in­ter­rupts play. More frus­trat­ingly, in­gre­di­ents that aren’t in a ma­chine or be­ing held will dis­ap­pear on the switch – if night­fall hap­pens to co­in­cide with a ro­bot drop­ping a rare and hard-earned in­gre­di­ent to pass to another, it’s gone. This ap­plies to the open-ended SOOP mode, too, which lets you con­tinue the base you con­structed in Con­quest mode, or start fresh with no op­po­nents or end goal.
